Why Craig?

Since being elected, Craig has received broad-based support from many individuals, families and groups. They recognize Craig's effectiveness as a legislator on Capitol Hill.  In fact, Craig has been named as one of Capitol Hill's "most effective" legislators.  Craig will continue to provide a strong voice for those who live, work and send their children to schools in West Valley City.

Craig cares most about getting things done for his constituents.  He has worked together will all interested parties, and across party lines, to accomplish great things for the State of Utah. The Salt Lake Tribune has labeled Craig as "refreshing" and a "healthy example of bipartisanship."

Having lived in District 33 for 27 years, Craig realizes that the majority of voters care most about having a representative that will listen to their concerns, be responsive, and have the ability to get things done. For Craig, it has been gratifying to receive the support from strong families and individuals living throughout District 33.

West Side representation

Craig has been an effective voice and gets things done for those who reside, work and send their children to schools in the West Side.

Many in the West Side feel overlooked and ignored by those on Utah's Capitol Hill.  Craig has stood up for the West Side and will continue to make sure those in other areas of Salt Lake County and the State do not receive more than their fair share.  This includes funding for schools, transportation and other economic development.

Education

With all of Craig's school-aged children attending West Side public schools, nothing is more important to Craig than making sure our children receive a top quality education. As a state, we must ensure that our educators have the needed resources to succeed. Education is a critical investment, and Craig has voted and will continue to vote for what is best for our students.

Economy

Craig believes that we must continue to promote economic policies that incentivize the creation of new jobs and attract new companies to our state and community.

He has received support from groups that represent working families in West Valley, and has been named as a "Business Champion" by the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce.

Accessibility

As your representative, Craig has held over a dozen town-hall meetings, sent out dozens of e-mail newsletters, mailed surveys to my constituents, he actually answers his phone and returns messages (try it! 801-573-1774), and has knocked hundreds of doors getting to know his constituents.

Craig will continue to make sure you are always kept informed about what is happening at the State Capitol!
